“Where are you going?”

Petra spun around to see Erin following on her heels, arms folded over her chest. She winced, inwardly – she didn’t want anyone, and especially not this busybody, eavesdropping on her private conversation with Reuben – and folded her own arms over her chest.

“None of your business.”

“Oh.” Erin tilted her head dangerously to the side. “I beg to differ. We’ve gone all out of our way to give you a fun weekend, and you’re sulking off every chance you get and just being completely antisocial. It’s rude, Petra.”

Petra lifted her chin. “I’m sorry, I’m not a social person. I appreciate the vacation, I really do, but … what I need is peace and quiet to sort myself out.”
